Yannick works on automatic speech recognition for the Fe'efe'e language. This is a language spoken in the West of Cameroon for which few resources exist.
The approaches explored by Yannick are based on the exploitation of large multi-lingual acoustic models that are adapted to fe'efe'e with small amounts of annotated data. The difficulties encountered are mainly related to the tonal aspect of the language which is not necessarily well modeled in classical acoustic models (e.g. xlsr53 ).
